  3. Baithak Reader's Theater Presents: Tagore's The Home and the World

    March 31, 2019, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Parsippany Main Library

    Baithak is a group of six women who have come together for their common love of prose and poetry. It is Baithak’s intention to bring literary gems from South Asia to its audience. They believe these literary works are relevant to the current times and speak to human emotions worldwide. In the form of storytelling, Reader’s Theater Baithak, will present Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s novel The Home and the World. Set in early twentieth century’s British India, this story is rich in intricately sensitive personal themes and modern political thought.
