Change to Fire Prevention Fee Schedules

 The following pertains to residential smoke alarms,carbon monoxide alarms, and fire extinguisher inspections

·       Request for CSACMAPFEC received 10 or more business days prior to the change of occupancy: $50

·       Request for CSACMAPFEC received 4-9 business days prior to the change of occupancy: $75

·       Request for CSACMAPFEC received 0-3 business days prior to the change of occupancy: $125

·       Re inspection for CSACMAPFEC or no-show fee: $50(per occurrence)

·       **Please Note: For any rental properties, the Division of Housing must be contacted at(973) 263-4280 for their certification separately. **

·      Payment by check, money order, or cash is due prior to the date of inspection. All checks and money orders shall be made out to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills. If payment is not made prior to the inspection, the inspection will be postponed until payment has been received.

The following pertains to commercial properties annually:

·       Premises under 3,000 sq ft: $65

·       Premises over 3,000 sq ft but under 6,000sqft: $150

·       Premises over 6,000 sq ft but under 12,000sqft:$250

·       Premises over $12,000 sq ft: $400

·       Multilevel premises under three stories: $250

·       Multilevel premises with three to six stories:$500

·       Hotels and motels without interior stairways with less than 50 rooms: $250

·       Hotels and motels without interior stairways anymore than 50 rooms: $350

·       Multifamily dwellings (Use Group R-2 as defined in the Uniform Construction Code): $75

·       Any premise identified as a Life-Hazard by the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.9(a).

 The following pertain to any fire safety permits defined in the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and Parsippany Local Ordinance:

·       Type 1: $54

·       Type 1A: $50 **Please Note:  Type 1A permits for scheduled events as defined in 169-7 of the local ordinances will be $50 if the application is mad eat least 5 business days prior to the event, $100 if the application is made less than 5 business days prior to the event, $250 if application is made less than two business days prior to the event, and $300 if application is made the day of the event.

·       Type 2: $214

·       Type 3: $427

·       Type 4: $641

The following is for the Fire Extinguisher Awareness Program:

·       Group of 1-5 people: $100

·       Group of 6-10 people: $150

·       Group of 11 or more: $200
